Why the pet industry?

Australia has one of the highest rates of pet ownership in the world with more than two-thirds of families owning a pet. As a result, Australia's animal care industry is continuously expanding, contributing more than $12 billion to the Australian economy and employing over 40,000 people. According to Animal Medicine Australia, the Pet Grooming industry, in particular, is booming, providing more than $700 million to the economy each year and expected to reach $1 billion by 2025.

Aside from the pet grooming industry, animal health care, animal nursing, rehabilitation and therapy are also experiencing tremendous growth. In addition, there are numerous new long-term career options in assistance, companion and therapy animals and captive animal management. There is no better time to enter the industry than right now!
